Will Stancil’s Election Campaign
Will Stancil ran in the DFL primary for Minnesota House District 61A in 2024. He lost to Katie Jones, finishing with 36.43% of the vote. This page documents two incidents from the campaign that are referenced elsewhere on the wiki.
The postcard
During the primary, mailers were sent to District 61A voters reproducing screenshots of tweets in which Stancil had told other users to harm themselves, including one in which he told another user to “guzzle bleach.” The screenshots were presented without the surrounding context of the exchanges. I don’t know the contexts myself, but I’m pretty sure at least half of them were justified.
